CSI Karnataka chapter was started in the year 2002, before this there was only one csi Bangalore chapter Bengaluru. Some interested senior cardiologists of the state met and discussed the formation of state chapter.
The need for state chapter was stressed and senior central CSI members of the state decided to form the state chapter and Dr.A.S.Chandra Shekar Rao was nominated as interim president and Dr.B.G.Baliga as interim secretary.
